By supporting students as they realize their potential and success, we are commited to helping them grow into life-long learners.  Life-long learners are individuals that will always question the world around them and look at ways to make it better.  Together, we can ensure a strong and happy future for our community and world.  

At Mighty Acorns English we feel that students learn best when they are engaged in an interactive environment. Learning the fundamentals of a language should be fun and exciting!  We are passionate about making sure that each and every student has this experience at our school.  This is our promise.  

私達は子供達に英語で教育すると同時に、楽しい英語の世界を知ってもらえるように努めて参ります。
単に英語を学ぶだけではなく、自分の力で自分には無限の可能性や
能力があることに気付き、自信をつけながら成長していけるように
サポートしていきます。
そして、子供達が"Life Long Learners"つまり常に何かを学びたいという意欲をもち、与えられた事だけを何の考えも持たず、何の疑問も抱かずにただこなすのではなく、何でこうなんだろう？こうしてみたらどうだろう？こうしたらもっと良くなるのでは？と自分自身に問いかけ、挑戦し、新しい発見をしながら更に学び続けていける人になって欲しいと願っています。なぜならそういう彼らならきっと、より
素晴らしい未来を切り開いていってくれると信じているからです。
私達は、英語は対話ができ、お互いに影響し合える環境においてこそ正しく学ぶ事が出来ると考えています。

Greetings from Mighty Acorns English!  We are a newly opened English school in Kasukabe.  With over 10 years of teaching experience in Japan, we are looking forward to guiding new students through an incredible journey of growth, development and education in English.

All children have potential and promise.

At Mighty Acorns English we feel that given the right education, guidance, and support a student can unleash this potential to grow and develop into a strong, bright, and considerate person. It is, of course, a long journey; there are many steps along this road where children will be faced with challenges, some successful and others that need retrying. But this journey is what makes and shapes children as they grow from little acorns to mighty oaks.

マイティーエイコーンズイングリッシュでは正しい教育、ガイダンス、サポートを受けてこそ子供達は自分自身の潜在能力に気づき、その能力を開花させ、心身共に強く聡明で思いやりのある人に成長していけると考えています。その成長の道のりにおいて多くの試練に直面し、色々なことに挑戦する中で成功と再挑戦を繰り返し、様々な経験をしながらたくさんの事を学んでいくことになるでしょう。その道のりこそが「大きな樫の木も小さなどんぐりから育つ」ように子供達が成長していく上でとても大切な人生の旅路であると私たちは信じています。

I enjoy outdoor activities like camping, landscaping, and walks with my family but my true passion in life is teaching kids. The way they learn, grow, and develop is a phenomenal experience to be a part of. We have the ability and responsibility to guide children through this journey, and I for one, feel fortunate to be along for the adventure.

I have lived in Japan now for the past 15 years or so and am happy to call Kasukabe my home. It is a friendly place where people are not shy to say "hello". I feel welcome here and I would like to give something back to the community I am so pleased to raise my family in.

Hello there!

My name is Jordan Dupuis. I was born and raised in Ottawa, the capital of Canada, where I attended school in both English and French. After high school, I earned qualifications in Theatre Arts and teaching from Algonquin College and Oxford Seminars.

I began my career in education here in Japan first teaching in preschool and kindergarten classes and, later on, managing a successful international school for young learners.  Here I was able to train and guide other teachers, build programs and curriculums, plan and run events, and learn what it takes to run a successful English school for children.




こんにちは。ドゥプイジョーダンです。
私はカナダの首都オタワで生まれ育ち、英語とフランス語両方の教育を受けました。高校卒業後は舞台芸術を学び、オックスフォードのセミナーにて英語を母国語としない人達に英語を教える資格も取りました。
英語講師としての私のキャリアはここ日本でスタートしています。これまでの10年間、インターナショナルプリスクールで
講師を務め、1歳半〜中学生までの子供達に英語を教えてきました。そして後にマネージャーとして外国人講師のトレーニングやプログラム、カリキュラムの作成、様々なイベントの計画と進行といった仕事もしてきました。その経験の中で、日本の子供達にふさわしい英語教育を提供する為にはどう教室運営をしていくべきかを学んできました。
私は日曜大工、家族と散歩したり、キャンプに行ったりとアウトドアが大好きです。そして子供達に英語を教えることは何より自分が夢中になれる仕事であり、自分にとって天職だと実感しています。
子供達が学び、成長し発達していく過程に携わることが出来る事はとても素晴らしい事です。
これまでの経験を生かし、責任を持って子供達を導いていきます。そして共に成長していけることを心から嬉しく思います。
日本に住み約10年。人々がフレンドリーで、いつも気軽にHelloと挨拶をしてくれるこの春日部を"My home" と呼べることを幸せに思います。そして、いつも自分を温かく迎えてくれるこの春日部に英語を通して貢献していきたいと思っています。

ドゥプイ晃子です。
２０１５年、夫ドゥプイジョーダンと私の生まれ育った大好きな春日部にマイティーエイコーンズイングリッシュをオープンしました。
色々な事を教え気付かせてくれ、心からの優しい笑いをくれる子供達が私達は大好きです。
自分の心に正直に笑い、泣き、怒り、喜び、頑張る子供達は大人の自分をいつも色々な形で見つめ
直させてくれます。
無限の可能性を秘めた子供達と、私の好きな英語を通して関わっていける仕事に就ける事はとても幸せなことです。




自分の人生において大きな影響を与えてくれた英語の世界。
英会話スクール、児童英語講師、インターナショナルプリスクールと英語の世界で約１４年間勤めて参りました。そして色々な国を訪れ、自分とは全く違う世界で育った人々と出会い、様々な刺激や感動を受けて自分自身多くの事を学びました。
そして私自身にまだまだ学びたい！そう思わせてくれる英語の世界。それはきっと英語がもつ魔法のようなものなのかもしれません。英語を話せる事の素晴らしさ、英語を話せることで広がる未知の世界を子供達に知ってもらいたい！私はそう心から願っています。

Hello!

My name is Akiko Dupuis.

I was immersed in the wonderful world of English when I traveled abroad to study English overseas. I met such remarkable individuals, made long lasting friendships, and experienced a whole new culture; it really influenced the way I saw the world. Upon returning to Japan, I felt compelled to help others realize just how fun and rewarding the challenging world of English can be. For the past ten years or so, I have worked on the management level at an English conversation school and spent a great deal of time in international classes teaching side by side foreign teachers.

I love working with children. They are pure, honest, and completely true to themselves and others. When they are happy, they smile, when they are sad, they cry, when they are having fun, they laugh. This beautiful simplicity is profound and has taught me much about myself. I have learnt so much from children, I am eager and excited to open their world to the incredible world of English that I still find so intriguing.

So, come on down! Let's have some fun in English!

加瀬 悠です。
私は幼稚園の頃から中学生まで英会話教室に通い、 英語を学ぶだけではなく、色々な国の方とお話しすること、文化や習慣を学ぶことの楽しさを知りました。高校生の頃に将来は子供たちに英語を教えたいと思うようになり児童英語指導員というコースがある大学を選び、ニュージーランドの幼稚園研修や台湾での幼稚園視察、日本の幼稚園や小学校で教育実習を行ってきました。大学卒業後はインターナショナルスクールに7年勤め、子どもたちの成長を近くで見る喜びを感じました。



My name is Haruka Kase and I have been enjoying English since a very young age. I began classes when I was just five years old. I was able to learn not only the language itself but also the freedom it allowed me to communicate with other English speakers while discovering a whole new culture. I decided in high school to become an English teacher and pursued courses of education in university. While studying, I was fortunate to have the experience of teaching overseas in New Zealand and Taiwan where I gained valuable practical skills in the classroom. Upon graduation, I worked in an international school for children for 7 years. I learned a lot from these children and found their progress to be one of the most fulfilling aspects of teaching.

I love playing with children, singing and dancing with them and making arts and crafts together. I’m really looking forward to making every day a special day for each Mighty Acorns English student!
My name is Ayako Teranaka. I have always been moved by the simple smile of a child, their ability to absorb, their inquiring mind, and their potential. I studied daycare and nursing in technical college before working in a nursery locally. Children deal with so many different emotions, our job is to provide them with consistency and support along their daily journeys of self-discovery. I am very excited to be joining the Mighty Acorns world. I am looking forward to having fun in English with you!

寺中文子です。私は子供の無垢な笑顔が大好きです。子供の物事を吸収する力・可能性・探究心に感動し、保育士を志しました。そして私は保育と介護を専門学校で学び、卒業後は市内の保育園で働いていました。これからマイティーエイコーンズのスタッフの一員として子供達に寄り添い、子供達にとって身近な存在でありたいと思います。マイティーエイコーンズでどんな世界が待ち受けているのかとてもワクワクしています。子供達にも毎日ワクワクした生活を送ってもらえるようサポートしていきたいと思います。



Hello,
My name is Nia Banik! I’m from America, however I spent most of my childhood in Europe. I’ve lived in both Belgium and Germany and have traveled to over 25 different countries. I studied Business and Economics at my university in Texas, while also studying Japanese. After graduation, I began working and living in Japan. Teaching children is one of the greatest experiences I’ve had since coming to Japan. I love watching my students grow, learn and share their culture and experiences with me. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, traveling across Japan, going to specialty themed cafes, and watching musicals. I look forward to meeting and getting to know everyone!

アメリカ出身ではありますが、幼少期の殆どをヨーロッパで過ごしました。ベルギー、ドイツに住み、25ヵ国を旅しました。
テキサスの大学では経営学を学び、在学中には日本語も学びました。
卒業後、日本に住み、英語を教えてきました。その中でも、子供達に英語を教える事はとても素晴らしい経験となっています。生徒達の成長を見ること、生徒達と文化を共有する事がとても好きです。
趣味はビデオゲーム、日本中を旅行する事、様々なものをテーマにしたカフェに行く事、ミュージカル鑑賞です。

Laura Huley

Hi there! My name is Laura and I`m from a lovely town in Connecticut, a state that borders NYC on the east coast of the USA. I studied Writing and English at Green Mountain College in Vermont and had an opportunity to study abroad at Nagoya University. I fell in love with Japan during this time; the language, natural beauty, food and culture. So, after getting my CELTA and studying Japanese at a language school in NYC, I came back a second time in 2015. Teaching English in Japan has been a wonderful experience so far, and I treasure all the memories with my students. My favorite part of teaching is seeing kids get motivated and confident using and having fun in a new language. In my free time, I'm either inside and studying Japanese or curled up with a book, or outside and hiking, traveling, skiing and scuba diving! I am excited to meet you all and hope we can learn and grow together!
